It is a different issue that their efficiency is not known and they might burn a small if not a major hole in your pocket, as beauty doesn’t come cheap. However, you will be surprised to know that there are many natural products, readily and cheaply available in the market or even in our kitchens, which can help reduce those wrinkles. Rose water is essentially a non-stinging astringent and cleanser, which helps remove dirt and impurities clogging your skin pores, as well as tightening the skin. You can use rose water alone or in combination with various other ingredients to help make your skin youthful. Mix 3-4 drops glycerine in 2 teaspoons (tsp) rose water and ½ tsp lemon juice and apply at night before bedtime. You can make a face pack by mixing 1 tsp each of rose water, curd and honey in a mashed ripe banana. Apply it on face for 20 minutes and then rinse with cool water.
You can use natural rose water with glycerine in a 1:1 ration to make a natural moisturizer, which when applied daily leaves your skin soft and supple for the entire day along with reducing crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles. Rose water has antioxidants which revitalize skin tissue and glycerine acts as a natural moisturizer.
Vitamin C serum
It is a water soluble vitamin, which has antioxidant properties that work wonders for your skin. You can make an anti-ageing serum at home using 2 vitamin C tablets, 2 tablespoon (tbsp.) vitamin E oil, 5 tbsp. rose water and 1 tsp. Aloe vera gel. Dissolve vitamin C tablets in rose water and then add the remaining ingredients to it. Store it in a bottle and in a cool dry place. Use 3-4 drops of this serum mixed with your moisturizer at night and see how with regular application once in a week, your skin tightens and there is a reduction in the amount of wrinkles.
Lemon is a rich source of Vitamin C and therefore has high antioxidant properties. It also acts as natural bleach. Care, however, must be taken that you don’t venture out in the sun after using lemon on skin. Apply lemon juice on your skin daily, leave for 15 minutes and wash off with water.
Lemon juice and honey can be combined in a 1:1 ratio and massaged on the skin. Washing the mixture off with warm water after 20 minutes leaves the skin blemish free and moisturized. The vitamin C and potassium present in lemon helps reduce wrinkles and dark spots.
Alternately, you can also mix 1 tsp each of egg white and lemon juice with ½ tsp milk cream and apply the mixture on face. Leave for 15 minutes then wash with cold water. These face masks not only help lighten skin tone, reduce wrinkles but also moisturizes your skin.
Green tea is another source rich in antioxidants. When used in combination with lemon juice it works as an excellent toner. To ½ cup of green tea water add 2 tbsp. lemon juice. You can either use this mixture as a face cleanser using cotton balls or as a spray (refrigerated in a bottle) to revitalize and rejuvenate tired skin.

This yellow fruit is rich in vitamin A, antioxidants as well as Papain enzyme, which helps in removing dead skin cells. Mash few pieces of ripe papaya to prepare a paste. Apply this on your face and leave for 15-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. You can also prepare a mask using papaya and honey, which not only removes dead skin cells but also revitalizes your skin by moisturizing it. Make a paste of 2 tbsp. papaya pulp and 1 tbsp. honey and apply it on your face using circular motion. Remove the paste after 5 minutes by using a cotton ball dipped in cold water in upward direction. Do not use soap. Repeat it once in a week to look young and beautiful.
Egg white + orange juice
Egg whites are rich in proteins, which help in tightening of skin thus reducing the skin pore size as well as fine lines. Orange is a source of antioxidants and vitamin C, which help reduce the free radical that build up in the body causing ageing. It not only revitalizes your skin but also improves your complexion. Mix 1 egg white with 3 tbsp. orange juice and apply this mixture as layers using a brush on your clean dry face. Remove the pack after it has dried completely, using moist cotton in an upward direction. Use this once a week to get younger and flawless skin.

Raw milk + Salt
Raw milk is rich in minerals and vitamins, which help in cleansing and revitalizing the skin. Along with salt, it works as a cleaner as well as exfoliator. Regular application helps keep your skin smooth and young. To 1/4th cup of cold raw milk add 1 tsp salt and mix. Apply this on your face using cotton balls and leave for 2 minutes. Using circular motions, rinse off with cold water to remove dirt, dead cells and impurities.
Carrot + Milk + Turmeric
Carrots are rich in antioxidants, beta carotene and vitamin A, while turmeric is known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Combined together along with the goodness of milk, gives you a potent remedy to fight signs of ageing. In 4 tbsp. milk, soak 2 tbsp. grated carrots for 10 minutes and a tsp. of turmeric. Blend this together to form a paste, and apply it on clean dry face. Keep this pack for 20 minutes and wash off using cold water.

Rice water can be the water in which you have soaked the rice, or the one in which you have cooked it in an open vessel. It is the secret behind the flawless radiating complexion of Asian women. Cucumber + curd
Cucumber is very often used for skin lightening and revitalising. Cucumber slices are kept over eyes to reduce dark circles and puffiness. Curd is rich in lactic acid which helps in exfoliation. Mix 2 tsp of grated cucumber in ½ cup curd to prepare a mask. Apply this on your face and keep it for 20 minutes. Rinse it off using warm water.
Like cucumber, potatoes are also used for removing tan lines, wrinkles and general lightening of skin. Make a face mask by grinding potato into a paste. Apply it all over your face including your eyes and keep it for half an hour. Rinse it with water and apply moisturizer. Oatmeal can be used as a scrub to remove dead skin, leaving beautiful soft skin behind. Make a pack using 2 tbsp oatmeal, 1 egg yolk and 1 tsp each of olive oil and fresh orange juice. Apply this mask on your skin and leave it for 20 minutes, then rinse off. Use this mask once a week and see the difference.

Make an exfoliating agent using 2 tbsp dark, unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 cup brown sugar, ½ cup frozen coconut oil and 1/3 cup almond oil. Alternatively, you can make a paste of 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, ¼ cup honey, 3 tsp oatmeal, 2 tbsp cream and 5 mashed fresh strawberries. Apply it on skin and wash it off with lukewarm water after it has dried, for getting young, soft and smooth skin.
